Bad Apple Rides has pleasure to list this unique 1959 Edsel Ranger 2 door sedan
The seller purchased this Edsel from an avid collector who has owned for approximately 4 years, and the current seller had it in his possession for about year. The seller states that during the previous owner and himself kept the Edsel in climate control garage and took it out only during nice weather. The power is provided by the original 223 cu in inline L6 engine mated to the 3 speed manual transmission (three on the tree). The engine is said to have been completely rebuilt and features original carburetor glass bowl. The stopping is accomplished by original drum brakes on all four corners, and the Edsel still retains its original front and back end. The steering is manual and same as it came out from factory. The hi/lo lights, indicator lights, brake lights and dome light are all in working order. During his possession, the seller changed the tires to 205”x75”x14” white wall radial tires. The seller states that the car drives excellent and does not display any noise, smoke or leaks.
The all steel body still retain its original mist green color and does not display any body work. According to seller, there is no rust/rot present on the car. The Edsel displays great body lines and retains all its trim and chrome pieces. The front chrome grill is in very good shape, but there is slight pitting. The wrap around windshield is in great shape and does not have any scratches or chips. All the windows go up and down and with exception of the passenger window are crack free.
The seller notes that the interior is all original, stain and tear free. However, the seller notes that there is an unraveled seam on the front of the headliner. The original three spoke steering wheel is in good shape but displays wear and cracks on few places. The original gauge cluster in the dash – speedometer, gas, oil, temp and volt – is fully functional and operational. The dash itself is clean and crack free. The original radio works. The floor is carpeted with correct carpet and has rubber floor mats for further protection. The seats upholstery is period correct, stain and rip free. Both bench seats are firm and not sagging.
