Bad Apple Rides has pleasure to list this 1965 Plymouth Barracuda 2 Door Sport Hardtop with 15,900 original miles

The seller of this 1965 Plymouth Barracuda purchased it from a widow of J.E. “Buggs” Threadgill, Texas drag racer, record holder, muscle car enthusiast and car builder. The seller mentions that this Barracuda was last car Mr. Threadgill restored, and in his opinion, did not spare any expense. Before the extensive and 3 years long restoration started, the Barracuda was a barn find discovered by Mr. Threadgill in Palestine, TX where is sat for nearly 40 years. The power is provided by completely rebuilt and original 273 V8 engine with 2bbl carburetor mated to the 4-speed manual transmission. The Plymouth retains original drum brakes on all four corners with original wheels and hubcaps. The hi/lo lights, indicator lights, brake lights and dome lights are all in working conditions. The seller states that the Plymouth drives and handles extremely well and is as nice as when it rolled out of the manufacturing plant.

The body of this Barracuda retains all of its original metal sheets, and the seller states that there is absolutely no rust/rot or bondo. The paint shines nicely, and there are no chips, cracks or runs of the paint anywhere. All of the insignias, chrome and trim pieces are present and in excellent condition. The signature curved back window is crack and chip free. The windshield is also crack and chip free and the windows go up and down.

The interior of the Barracuda was also refurbished, and black color was chosen to complement the red exterior. The front bucket seats and back bench seat were reupholstered and are firm with no tears. The carpet and headliner are brand new, clean and rip free. There is a modern radio fitted to the dash and aftermarket 3 spoke steering wheel replaced the original. The dash is stress and crack free, and the original gauge cluster is in working condition.
The seller will include memorabilia with Mr. Threadgill such as newspaper articles. The seller will include all of the retained receipts and original production broadcast sheet.
